Antibiotic Pollution across NC

Description: Concern lies for the rising risks of antibiotic resistance on human and ecological health. Improved surveillance of antibiotics and antibiotic resistance throughout the environment is an important aspect of the prevention and control of threats. Maps display relative watershed ranking for antibiotic pollution based on aggregated WWTP effluent as point pollution metric and total antibiotic use by CAFOs metric as nonpoint pollution metric. Model outcomes are shared to encourage integration into future fieldwork
